Terms of Service

This is a reference English translation. The Japanese version is authoritative; if there is any discrepancy, the Japanese version prevails.

These terms set out the conditions for using SQL Quiz Book (https://sqlquizbook.com/, the “Service”). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms.

Article 1 (Service content)

The Service provides SQL learning problems and explanatory content. Some content is paid and can be viewed only with the account that purchased it.

Article 2 (Accounts)

  1. Signing in with a Google or GitHub account is required to purchase paid content and to use the learning-record features.
  2. An account may be used only by the account holder. It may not be transferred, lent or shared with any third party.

Article 3 (Paid content)

  1. The entitlement to paid content is a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to view, tied to the purchasing account. Copyright in the content belongs to the operator.
  2. Prices are shown on the purchase page. Prices may change in the future, but this does not affect entitlements already purchased under the one-time model.
  3. Refunds are handled as set out in the Legal Notice (Specified Commercial Transactions Act).

Article 4 (Prohibited conduct)

  1. Reproducing, reposting, redistributing, selling or publicly transmitting the content (beyond the scope of private use)
  2. Systematic or automated collection of content, such as scraping
  3. Sharing purchase entitlements or providing authentication credentials to third parties
  4. Interfering with the operation of the Service, or unauthorized access
  5. Conduct that violates laws or public order and morals

Article 5 (Changes and suspension of the Service)

  1. The operator may change or add to the Service without prior notice to users.
  2. The Service may be temporarily suspended for maintenance, failures or other unavoidable reasons.
  3. If the Service is to be terminated, we will give reasonable advance notice.

Article 6 (Disclaimer)

  1. We strive for accuracy in the content, but do not guarantee its completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.
  2. The operator is not liable for damages arising from use or inability to use the Service, except in cases of the operator’s willful misconduct or gross negligence. Even where the operator is liable, the amount of compensation is capped at the amount the user paid (applied to the extent not contrary to the Consumer Contract Act or other mandatory laws).

Article 7 (Changes to these terms)

The operator may change these terms when it deems necessary. Material changes will be announced on the Service, and continued use after the announcement is deemed acceptance.

Article 8 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the Service is subject to the exclusive agreed jurisdiction of the Sapporo District Court as the court of first instance.
